Jordan Brand paid tribute to MJ's alma mater with the Air Jordan 1 University Blue model. The University Blue colorway closely resembles the (very hard to find) Air Jordan 4 UNC PE, which was given to Tarheel student athletes in 2019. The Air Jordan 4 University Blue features a University Blue suede upper with mesh on quarter panel and tongue. Similar to OG Jordan 4 color schemes of the past, the eyelets, heel tag, and midsole sections are a speckled cement gray. There are also hits of black on the side eyelets, sole and Jumpman logo on the heel label. There are two thread labels sewn to the tongue; one is the classic Jumpman; the other is a Team Jordan label. A black, white and Tech Gray sole with a clear Air unit completes the design.
